Products & Services
Precise quality control of flat panel display glass and cosmetic inspection of finished goods
Flat panel displays are ubiquitous in modern electronic devices, and their production involves several critical steps, each of which plays a crucial role in the quality and reliability of the final product.
In every step of production, ISRA VISION's automatic inspection systems ensure that only flawless glass meeting quality standards is delivered downstream and finally to your customers:
Glass ribbon inspection
During the production of thin glass, the glass ribbon passes through several inspection stages to ensure the production of high-quality products.
Glass plate inspection
At every step of display glass sheet production, several advanced inspection systems play a crucial role in quality assurance – from surface inspection to edge inspection to particle counting.
Ultra-Thin Glass inspection
The inspection of finished or pre-finished parts like cover glasses, ultra-thin glass, foldable glasses, or advanced transparencies require dedicated features like contact-less conveying and complex inspection - including free form shape inspection algorithms and multi-zone smart inspection.
Cosmetic inspection of finished goods
Quality control for finished goods like smartphones, tablets needs to accurately identify surface defects to ensure objects meet required specifications, streamlining the inspection process for maximum efficiency.
FPM-Smart
Foldable smartphones and other new special applications require ultra-thin display and cover glasses of perfect quality. As the cost pressure in display glass production increases, these glasses must be manufactured with high efficiency, which poses new challenges for the precision and speed of defect detection. In addition, ensuring flawless display glass is essential for delivering an optimal customer experience, as even minor imperfections can significantly impact visual quality and user satisfaction.
The FPM-Smart system by ISRA VISION is a high-end, all-in-one surface inspection solution designed specifically for small-format glasses used in flat panel displays and thin glass production. Key features of the FPM-Smart system include:
Contact-less conveying: Ensures delicate glass surfaces are handled without physical contact, preventing potential damage during inspection.
Inspection of complex parts: Capable of assessing intricate glass components, including free-form shapes, to detect defects that could affect performance.
Multi-zone smart inspection: Allows for the definition of specific zones (e.g., printed areas) to perform targeted inspections, ensuring comprehensive quality control across the entire glass surface.
By integrating the FPM-Smart system into the production process, manufacturers can detect and address defects early, ensuring that only high-quality, flawless display glass reaches consumers, thereby enhancing the overall user experience

SpecGAGE3D
Simultaneous defect detection and shape control
SpecGAGE3D sets the standard for quality control of reflective surfaces such as automotive interior/exterior, displays, mirrors, wafers, and mobile devices. Using deflectometry, it detects shape deviations and surface defects in a single measurement and compares the data to CAD to evaluate differences in seconds. SpecGAGE3D accurately identifies surface defects and ensures objects meet required specifications, streamlining the inspection process for maximum efficiency.
Determination of stable and comparable values
Multi-part and large-part measurement approach
Automatic defect detection and shape inspection for reflective surfaces
Global form and defect control in one system
Real-time production monitoring & process control
FPM-Line
Precise defect detection for reliable quality classification
The surface inspection system FPM-Inspect checks thin glass substrates using various illumination channels and high-resolution cameras. It guarantees reliable quality classification and ensures that customers receive only flawless material.
The system can combine up to three inspection tasks:
High-resolution detection of typical glass and surface defects: FPM-Inspect reliably detects and classifies even the tiniest defects like cullets, dents, PT needles, inclusions, or bubbles.
Detection of even the tiniest scratches; the illumination system is specifically designed for detection of scratches independent on orientation.
Particle counting: The integrated particle illumination system allows FPM-Inspect to detect all sub-µm particles.
This 3-in-1 solution saves space and operating costs by eliminating the need for additional inspection systems. The additional products FPM-Edge and FPM-Review complete the inspection line with edge inspection and an automatic microscope for defect review.
Complete product range for surface and edge inspection, plus review station
Extremely short inspection line for thin glass substrates
Improved classification due to defect information from multiple optical channels
Detection of even the tiniest scratches
